New Knitters will learn: Casting on, basic garter (or knit) stitch, purl stitch, knit/purl patterns, binding off, increasing & decreasing, and finishing with fringe (optional).
Personal Project Class - Any level

Bring your own pattern and we'll help you select appropriate yarn and needles/hooks then guide you through your project. Don't have a pattern?... we have plenty of books and patterns in the studio to select from. Just need help with your project?...this is the class for you!

Do you get frustrated making knitting mistakes because you have no idea how to fix them? This is the perfect class for you! In this class you make mistakes intentionally, identify the mistake, then learn to fix the mistake. This class is guarenteed to be filled with many eye opening moments!

Pattern Reading Workshop (Beg)
Learn to read knitting patterns and understand knitting nomenclature. Student are welcome to bring a pattern of their own to work with. Crochet pattern reading workshops are also availalable...call to schedule a private class.

Novice Knit II Workshop (Beg)
Ok ... so you have taken the beginning knitting class but aren't quite ready for hats or felted purses. This is the class for you! Learn to combine knit and purl stitches to make patterns. Learn necessary skills to start working with patterns; increase, decrease, yarn over, slip stitch...etc. Class is geared specifically to the skills of students registered.

Cable Stitch Workshop (Beg)
Cables are so beautiful and utilized in so many chunky knits this season! Although they look difficult they are really quite easy. Take the leap ...learn to cable! This class is perfect for beginners who know how to knit & purl.

Knit in the Round Workshop - (Beg)
Learn to knit in the round using circular needles and double point needles. These techniques are used to knit hats, handwarmers, cowls or infinity scarves. Once you get used to the circular needles you will rarely use straight needles again!

Learn Continental Knitting - (Beg)
Would you like to begin knitting in a quicker, more ergonomic method with less hand strain? Continental knitting us for you! Learn to strategically hold the yarn in your left hand then knit and purl with incredible speed and consistency. Students should bring size 9 needles and light color aran weight yarn.

New Entrelac Knitting Classes!
Introduction to Entrelac - (Adv Beg)
Learn to knit Entrelac during this simple workshop! Entrelac the french word for interlaced, is a knitting technique that is worked in small sections which are joined as they are worked. The pattern looks like strips of rectangles woven together on the bias. Simple knitting techniques are required; knits, purls, picked-up stitches, increases and decreases. Students should bring worsted weight yarn, appropriate needles and an open mind!

My First Hat - (Beg)
Are you ready to progress from flat knitted items to circular items? This is the perfect class! The basic hat is knit in the round with circular needles then progresses to double point needles to shape the crown of the hat. Students will be introduced to knitting in the round, basic pattern reading, decreasing and finishing. If you are not a beginner and would like to select a more challenging hat style...great! Just pick out a pattern and we will coach you through!

Class Description: Have you heard about the new needle felting rage! Felters are making floral embellishments and bracelets using wool roving and special felting needles. Needle felters will each make a floral pin to be used as an embellishment for clothing or a felted bracelet.
