Class Description: Have you ever wanted to learn to knit...or tried and were unsuccessful? Novice knitters will learn to knit a scarf with size 10 1/2 bamboo needles and your choice of yarn. If by chance you are more advanced we will work with you at your own pace!
New Knitters will learn: Casting on, basic garter (or knit) stitch, purl stitch, binding off, increasing & decreasing, and finishing with fringe.
Personal Project Class - Any level

Introduction to Shibori Felting - Adv. Beg.
Sister-Art Studio, Inc. invites you to join us for this great new class introducing Shibori knitting/felting technigue. Shibori is a term for traditional Japanese resistance dye techniques. Similar techniques can be used when felting wool. Objects are tied into the wool fabric as a "resist" before felting. Keeping parts of the knitted fabric from felting creates amazing three dimensional surfaces.

Hairpin Lace Class!
Hairpin Lace Crochet Class - Beginner
Sister-Arts Studio is excited to offer this wonderful new class! Hairpin lace is a beautiful and easy crochet technique that was very popular in the Victorian times. Students will work with a hairpin lace loom and crochet hook to form strips of loops held together by a row of crochet stitches. Strips created by this process can be joined together to create scarves, shawls or blankets.

Deconstruct & Construct Felted Sweaters - Beginner
Sister-Arts Studio invites you to join us for an exciting new "green" class. Learn to felt and deconstruct recycled sweaters to create a pair of fingerless gloves. Students will learn felting technigues, glove sizing, rotary cutting, machine sewing techniques and the blanket stitch. Each will take home a pair of fingerless gloves and scraps to make a variety of other felted items.
