Sister-Arts Studio...a Mother and Daughters' Vision

Sister-Arts Studio is owned by Donna Palicka, a licensed interior designer and 21-year veteran of the Chicago corporate world. Donna and her then eight-year-old daughter Ona envisioned
Sister-Arts Studio as a "creative sanctuary," a place where the fiber arts could be explored, enjoyed and taught to others. The studio would provide a means of escaping corporate culture (long hours, travel, parental guilt, etc.) by building community and helping others achieve a creative and meditative work-life balance.

After two years of research, planning, and teaching enrichment classes at Francis W. Parker School, Donna and Ona’s dream became a reality and Sister-Arts Studio opened in the summer of 2005. As we fast forward to today, the sisters of Sister-Arts Studio proudly celebrate over fifteen years of community building and the art of “Teaching Love through Creativity”!
